The approach into Whitecap opens up before the building does — sky first, then the resort rising with a calm, modern face. Walking in, I felt that easy out-of-town breath people come here for.

Check-in was friendly and quick. Keys ready, smile genuine, and the walk to the room short enough that I was unpacking while the afternoon light was still soft.
For my trip the location worked beautifully — far enough from town noise for dark skies, close enough that the attached casino made evenings self-contained.
